Getting Started

This page walks you through the first launch: finding your way around the app, then getting your first live data.

Finding your way around

The toolbar switches between sections:

• Navigation — the chart, with the boat and your objects;
• Instruments — position, speed, heading, depth and wind, live;
• Logbook — the record of your voyages;
• Library — your marks, routes and tracks.

Getting live data

1. Open Settings ▸ Mode and choose where your data comes from.
2. Enter the connection details for that source.
3. Return to the Instruments section — the values appear as soon as the connection is live.

If you have no boat network to hand, choose the This device source: Thoosa uses the device's own GPS, compass and barometer, with nothing to configure.
